Amy Veltman is a New York City comic, actor, and writer who’s performed across the country. She’s appeared at the The Comedy Cellar, Charm City Comedy Festival, The Ladies of Laughter competition, The Detroit Women in Comedy Festival, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, and Carolines.

Most recently, she created and is performing in the one-woman show PSA: PELVIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT, a comedic, autobiographical, musical romp through the pelvic floor to a place free(er) from shame. In the show, Amy shares her hard-won education about some surprising healthcare basics through her portrayal of the people and parts she met along the way. She’s working on setting up dates to tour the show in the US and abroad. Inquiries welcome!

She’s appeared as a momentary blip on HBO’s SUCCESSION, more significantly in CHUTNEY POPCORN (the first feature of LATE NIGHT director Nisha Ganatra), and has written, directed, and/or acted in several short films, including most recently BURYING BUBBY, in which she acted alongside Robert Smigel.

Amy was the producer and co-host of a weekly podcast, 2 Moms on The Couch, which, like her comedy, features her edgy take on motherhood, marriage, and being an outsider in an insider’s world.

In addition, Amy spent nearly a decade as a corporate consultant and facilitator for the pioneering consultancy On Your Feet. She presented in venues from Lincoln Center to New York’s City Center, designing and facilitating corporate events and trainings for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Disney, Nike, NBC, and McKinsey all over the USA, Asia, and in Mexico (in Spanish).

Prior to her consulting work with On Your Feet, she worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood, selling a pitch and screenplay for a teen musical comedy to Disney to be directed by Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (ROCK OF AGES).

Amy recently finished a term as president of the Alumnae Association of Barnard College and is currently an Alumnae Trustee. She has two kids, 17 and 20, and a husband who’s a psychiatrist. She thanks them for the endless fount of material they provide.
