I know the words “exciting” and “webinar” rarely go together in any credible way, but this one’s a genuine thrill for me.
When I started creating marketing materials for PSA: Pelvic Service Announcement about three years ago, I wrote as one of my goals for the show, “Veltman hopes to be the fresh new face of the pelvic floor.” I thought it was a joke. But now, it seems, my dream is coming true!
On Wednesday, November 11 at 7:00 pm ET, I’m going to be one of the stars of a webinar entitled, “Women, Let’s Talk About Bladder Leaks!” put on by the National Association for Continence in cooperation with AUGS (American Urogynecologic Society). I’ll be kicking it off with a comedic version of my story and a song. Then Dr. Lisa Dabney, a real urogynecologist, will be talking about the different types of bladder leaks and the multitude of options to address them. There will time for Q&A with Dr. Dabney and, for those who register, a follow-up email full of useful resources.
(Has anyone ever been referred to as a webinar “star” before? If not, please allow me to be the first. Please.)
