The Financial Aid Part

I don’t want to bog the whole mic down in procedures, but I’d love to use this mic to help those in our community hit financially by the virus. Here’s the deal:

• All participants who can comfortably do so Venmo me in advance $3 to participate.

• If you’re participating in the mic (as audience or performer) and in a tough financial spot due to Corona, e-mail me your name and Venmo anytime before 11 AM 3/23 with the subject line TOUGH SPOT. I will draw one of those names at the end of the mic and give all the proceeds to that person, hoping to make some difference for them. Must be virtually present to win.

• I’ll do the drawing and the amount live on the mic to create ultimate transparency. If someone venmos me for the mic after it’s started, the funds will roll over to the next week’s mic. We can handle a Zoom room of 100! Never tried it before. Hope it works.
